Multi-Instrumentalist Dick Aven Astounds with Provocative Record,"Fly Into the Fire"

Multi-Instrumentalist Dick Aven Astounds with Provocative Record,

Dick Aven is a bona fide music savant, having built an acclaimed career as a singer, songwriter, composer, touring performer and studio musician; the Tennessee based multi-instrumentalist has been the force behind a slew of music which has come from the amalgamation of his jazz and rock influences. The forward-thinking manner in which Dick manifests the combination of these two influences forms quite a distinct sound.

Dick displays his unique approach to his artistry and music wizardry top to bottom on his latest album project titled Spin So Long, an 11-track bonanza of eclectic tunes and compositions sure to please the listening palette of a wide range of music listeners globally. Today we're going to spotlight a song from the album titled "Fly Into the Fire", which is a riveting track that has a flirtatious and provocative vibe.

"Fly Into the Fire" depicts what appears to be a tiff or disagreement arising between Dick and his love interest, but he's calmly diffusing the situation; reasserting how much he loves her, expressing his affection and ultimately how he just wants to move past the conflict and be intimate with her.... i.e., "flying into the fire". The coy lyricism and innuendo are tremendous in this track and is a prime example of Dick's songwriting dexterity.

The soundscape itself takes on a hazy, retro feel as the core jazz instrumentation, laced with elements of soul and R&B, draw you into the song. Dick's expressive vocal delivery is highlighted throughout the course of the song as his tenor stylings dynamically fluctuate in line with whatever are the emotions or situation that the lyrics describe. For example, he flawlessly captures an ear-catching falsetto as the chorus reaches its peak. It's another factor of many which makes "Fly Into the Fire" an extremely appealing song.

Both of us blinded

Couple like-minded lovers

Sharing a bath

Laughing under covers

I don't wanna fight

I just want to fly the both of us

Fly into the fire
