John Emmanuel Releases Dazzling New Music Video and Track

Big tyme vibes are the first words that rushed to my mind after watching the boommode new music video "Mi Reina" by Toronto recording artist John Emmanuel.

The talented creative who aims to "make music to reach people across the world" is trilingual (He speaks French, Arabic and Spanish) and with such an international appeal it's easy to understand why Emmanuel "is for the people from all walks of life, all over the world".

"Mi Reina" is a stupendous reggaeton / urbano latino track that possesses an unquestionable danceability. Standing still is not an option when the lush melodies and rhythms of the instrumentation enter the soundscape accompanied by the classic dembow reggaeton drum pattern.

John Emmanuel - Mi Reina Music Video : review for D

The production is first-rate on 'Mi Reina" as you can't help but also notice that the song infuses elements of R&B incorporating a swinging bassline that adds a seductive appeal to the track which is captured brilliantly in the music video.

The imagery is vibrant and the scenes are illuminating as they capture a high spirited Emmanuel performing the song amidst a bevy of bikini-clad beauties on a boat out on the waters of Lake Ontario.

The vivid, fast paced transitions and cuts interchange between Emmanuel and the barrage of attractive women adorning the boat having a blast.....dancing, drinking, enjoying the sun, just having a good time in each other's company.

You can also see the backdrop of the Toronto skyline and CN Tower piercing the daytime shine so kudos to all involved on the music video side for the concept and vision.

Hey! every word that I've used up to this point to describe the song and video is conveyed exceptionally well by Emmanuel in the song's alluring lyrics. His melodic rap/singing flow in Spanish gravitates you to the song as it complements the lively instrumental .

No te pasa nada

Te amo pa' siempre

No hasta manana

Tu eres mi dama

Me siento como campeon

Tu cuerpo tu cara

Quiero mostrarte el accion

How to Make Your DJ Sets Pop with Harmonic Mixing Using the Camelot Wheel

The Camelot Wheel is a tremendously helpful tool for DJ's in mixing tracks in key so they blend together harmonically. The wheel was adapted from the "circle of fifths" system and incorporates a numerical value system to make it easier to understand for those for those are not familiar with key signatures or music theory. The number values on the Camelot Wheel represent the key and the letters identify between minor (A) or major scales (B). The way to use it? Whatever key your song is in, you can mix it with a song in the key one position to the left, one position to the right and directly above or below depending if a major or minor key. Major Key Example : Current track you are playing is the key of 1B (B Major). You can mix it with tracks in 12B, 2B and 1A. Example : Ultimate DJ Tools_- Camelot Wheel for Harmonic Mixing in the Key of 1B Minor Key Example : Current track you are playing is the key of 1A (A-Flat Minor).
