Heistheartist Drops a Unique Twist on a Maxwell Classic, New Release

Heistheartist (He Is The Artist) is an American Christian singer-songwriter from Central Islip, New York on Long iosland.

The gifted recording artist was formerly a secular neo-soul singer signed to Bentley Records under his birth name "LeeMann Bassey".

Over time, he came to discover that his true calling was with the Lord after hearing an inspirational sermon by renowned bishop and author TD Jakes online one day.

From that day forward he became inspired to teach the world about the Lord similar to TD Jakes' sermon, however, Heistheartist's minsitry would be manifested through his passion for music.

That brings us to today's spotlight track, a new release by the eclectic creative titled "Sumthin' Sumthin". The new track is a unique and adaptive cover of Maxwell’s neo-soul classic, “Sumthin’ Sumthin” and Heistheartist displays his flair for innovation by delivering the song with a twist distinctly his own.

While the instrumentation of the song incorporates the base neo-soul elements of Maxwell's original, there is an infusion of jazz, dance and electronic elements which truly sets the song apart with its diverse soundscape.

The divergent sounds throughout the song give it a magnetic appeal that is further enhanced by Heistheartist's unique vocal delivery.

He delivers a spirited vocal performance that is characterized more for its jazz vibe as it's a cross between a harmonic rap of sorts and a very engaging scat vocal.

Heistheartist displays a tremendously versatile skillset as a vocalist and recording artist with this latest release which is sure to peak the the interests of music listeners across the globe.

"Sumthin' Sumthin'" is available on all streaming platforms (Spotify link below). Stream it! Playlist it! and save it to your Favorites Library! Enjoy!
