StreamLINE Artist Feature : Yusef a.k.a. Halo -

Yusef Vestle a.k.a. Halo is a multi-dimensional recording artist, rapper and entrepreneur based in Georgia. The talented creative originally from Los Angeles is also an accomplished music producer and studio engineer with a diverse assortment of hip-hop/R&B tracks to his name.

As CEO of his own publishing company Yvha Music / Yvha Multi-Media Group LLC, Yusef is a completely self-contained and independent artist.

He is actively seeking to deliver a unique brand of hip-hop by utilizing his talent and experiences in providing a musical source of positivity to the genre, particualrly, in a period where a significant number of tracks which tout negativity seem to flourish and have commercial success.

As a self-described "perfectionist", Yusef brings his vision to light in a bona fide way on his new release titled "Ply This". The track is a definitive game-changer in the rap/hip-hop industry and we're excited to share our thoughts on it today.

"Ply This" is a tremendous showcase for Yusef's adept production skills and equally competitive vocal skill set.

The track has a mystical soundscape and out-of-this word aura which is driven by an energizing synth bass and ambient melody in the lead rhythm. A hard-edged kick and clap layered snare drum round out the instrumental yet it still maintains a laid back vibe overall.

Kudos are also due to Yusef on his keen ear as a studio engineer as he creates a resounding tone and sound design on the lush instrumentation that is sure to draw in music listeners on a mass appeal level.

As mentioned before, Yusef's vocal delivery is top notch on "Ply This". He drops a commanding baritone flow on the track that's precise and grabs your attention from the moment he drops the first bar.

His vocal performance is expressive and conveys the theme of the song exceptionally well. He's also able to seamlessly shift from a standard cadence to a melodic type flow in certain sections of the track, especially the catchy hook.

It's all these appealing components that give 'Ply This" a distinct tonality that is difficult to match and not heard of in your typical rap/hip-hop release of today.

Yusef lists a diverse group of music luminaries such as Tupac, Notorious B.I.G., Luther Vandross, Michael Jackson, Dr. Dre and Nas as major influences in his music, so it's no surprise how he has cultivated these influences into an eclectic sound.

"Ply This" is a boommode song and production and a must listen. It's available on all streaming platforms (Spotify link below). Stream it! Playlist it! Save it to your favorites!
